Survey Data Solutions

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before fieldwork begins.

Every property is different, but these answers cover the questions our clients ask most often.

What information should I provide for a quote?

Send the property address or parcel number, the type of survey requested if known, and a short explanation of why you need it. Existing deeds, title work, or prior surveys can also help.

How long does a land survey take?

Timing depends on property size, location, research requirements, field conditions, and the type of survey. Our team will explain the expected schedule when reviewing your request.

Do I need a new survey if I already have one?

A prior survey may not reflect newer improvements, easements, boundary evidence, or current requirements from a lender, insurer, title company, or permitting authority.

What is an elevation certificate?

An elevation certificate documents important elevation information for a building and property. It may be requested for flood-insurance, lending, permitting, or development purposes.

Can you survey property outside Central Florida?

Yes. Central Florida is our home base, and Survey Data Solutions travels statewide for residential, commercial, government, and construction clients.

How will I receive my completed documents?

Completed documents can be made available through the secure Client Portal. Access is assigned to your verified email and remains available for the designated access period.
